It's very impressive to me that you've learned how to make a slide show! It's a really cool way of sharing your completed activities - good for you!
I'm reading your blog from my home in Canada and, because I was a teenager in the 1970's, I'm interested in what you think about the fashions. I agree with you that the pants were kind of odd in that they were very wide at the ankle. We used to make a swishing sound as we walked because there was so much fabric. And the patterns were pretty ugly, for sure. My friends and I laugh at our old photos of ourselves because we really did look kind of funny in those wild patterns!!!
I like the fashions that are worn now much better!!! They're much more attractive on most people than what we tried to wear 40 years ago!
Do keep up your good work and I hope you're having a wonderful summer holiday!
The bell bottom pants...I used to have a pair of my own when I was younger (flower patterned and all) and I thought they were THE BOMB, the best pair of pants I'd ever owned. I probably didn't rock them as good as the people in the pictures, but one thing for sure, that you've picked up on is that they were very very comfortable.
What are you looking forward to this year? You are a very dedicated learner and teaching you has been an awesome journey! I am super proud of the effort you put into your learning and also into helping others and making our school a better place.
I am looking forward to coming back to school!,and I am gonna try step up my grades. I have had fun spending time with you and also being in your class!.
I was just telling Rachel how much I love that you present all your SLJ responses in a slideshow format - I think it's a great way to show your learning and present your work. It makes it really enjoyable to read with all the colours, pictures and fonts!
I rated Ray Columbus and the Invaders my number one, too, because I thought it was a really funky and catchy song! I'd love to know why you rated it your top song?
I agree, Tiana, the flared bottom pants are not all that nice! I wasn't around in the 1970's but when I was younger I used to wear flared bottom jeans with floral designs embroidered on them and I thought they were cool, but I don't think I'd wear them again! However, flared jeans seem to be coming back into fashion for some reason! What kind of fashion do you like these days?
I love your attitude towards school and learning! I have just graduated as a teacher and have my first class of year 7's this year, so I hope my students are all as awesome and willing to learn as you are!

Hi Tiana,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Davarni and I attend Gelnbrae school. It's quite cool to see someone share their learning through a slideshow, very creative!
I like your thoughts on "Bell Bottom Pants", I too don't like the styles.
I've never met someone who is so committed to go school. You sure are a curious learner.
Keep up the awesome work!
Davarni
Hi Davarni,
DeleteThank you!

Fantastic job, Tiana!
Nicky :)
Hi Nicky,
DeleteI rated it my top song I think because it is better the the other two! and because it is like something you can dance too!.
I don't really know what fashion I like but I do like the casual type.
I hope you have an amazing time teaching your students! Much luck!.
Thanks,
Tiana
Hi Tiana
ReplyDeleteThis style would not be my style because of the pants and the suits.
